How to Play Mermaid Reef
With most of the game screen given over to the gorgeous graphics, you’ll find your bet modifiers located behind the menu button.
Give this a tap to reveal your bet indicator, using the up and down arrows to edit your coin size and total bet – any amount from $0.10 to $150 can be selected.
Once you’re happy, return to your reels and hit the spin button to get started.
Special Features and Bonuses in Mermaid Reef
Alongside a classic base game, Mermaid Reef is home to three special symbols, each of which brings something exciting to the underwater part.
The Mermaid herself is the game’s wild, substituting for all other symbols (apart from the two scatters) to help form wins. What’s more, she can take over one position or an entire reel, which maximizes her win potential.
There are two scatters, each of which is responsible for its own special feature…
Free Spins
One of the scatter symbols is the Pearl, with three, four or five of this icon on your reels triggering 10, 15 or 20 free spins, respectively.
Each win in the free spins round comes with a 2x multiplier, while the feature itself can be re-triggered with additional scatters.
Pearl Bonus
The second scatter is the Clam, which helps to unlock the Pearl Bonus feature.
Three of the molluscs on your reels trigger the game, which takes place on a second screen with 15 closed clams to choose from.
Pick from the clams and watch them open up to reveal your prize: a total bet multiplier. Keep selecting until you’ve revealed a black clam, which ends the feature.
